Youtube won't open on my ipad..please help!

Ok, i did, tried youtube on safari…

then got on iloung this loaded, tried Youtube again, it worked…
but the the thing is THATS what it kept doing. I would have to try sites like Youtube or Netflix rather it be the app or Safari, doesnt matter, about 3 or times before i got it up. Even this site ilounge.
my mom tell me shes been hsving trouble with her computer disconnecting too, strange the TV rarely disconnects… it reboots the apps on occasions but very few times problem…
the main thing is if its the internet…. That’s ok, thats just Mexico’s bad internet. Im planning to spend half my time in the US anyway. BUT if its my ipad… THEN IM IN HUGE TROUBLE! You see what i mean?

I can't tell you what the problem is, but I would have rebooted the router already to see if that helped.
If there is a separate Cable Modem or DSL Modem I would reboot that as well. Boot Modem first, boot Router second.

OK… im gonna have to rely on my internet guy from this point on, unfortunately its going to have to revolve around my mom, shes weak and feeble and sick alot and ive got no one around taking care of her…and im disabled. Only a friend who’s a nurse and she cant find the time to slways be there but she is ther… oops sorry for the TMI
i have one other option that has been worrying me. My sister swears up and down that Absolutly NO Apple devices can get viruses or malware. She and her family has EVERYTHING Apple. Others say its no true, they CAN! So…. Im asking you if theres a free virus/malware scan app i can download that will give me an accurate reading?? Just a scan thats all im asking…

Total waste of time and money. iOS virus infections are so rare, that you would be more likely to see a pigeon fly through a window than find a virus on iOS.

Honestly the people that have to worry about iOS being infected or hacked are high profile people that have a lot more money than the 2 of us combined.

Well, it just took me 5 tries to open Youtube… is it Youtube? Then why are other sites doing it? But to a lesser extent?? I just want to know W H Y?
when ANY device detects an error, it should know exactly what the problem is and TELL US, except just eaying “there was an error” or “can not connect yo server” like we’re just supposed to know what that means. The fact those messages are so intuitive just adds insult to injury.

That is click bait, a website designed to be found in a common search results, has no content, and shows ads to those that click on it.

There is nothing on that page that helps anyone. Based on the comments, lots of non-technical people have fallen for the bait.

The webpage could be collecting all the email addresses from the comments to send them spam.

Ok… last night i just told my internet guy. I finally saw where i could reboot the internet so i did. It worked fir awhile, i gave Youtube a test. But just few minutes ago it gave me that old error server message again. Then i tried to go to the app store try reload the youtube app… did this 3 times and i rebooted my ipad…did it 2 more times before it could finaly load.
im really beggining to think there’s something wrong with my ipad. And if there is… im doomed because there is no Apple store here. In fact Apple is not too popular where i live...
why did this happen?just WHY

Did you reset the Network Settings as recommended above? I see now you didn't tap Reset. So, no you didn't do it.

Yes you need to tap Reset which is why it was in the whole path of taps:
Settings->General->Transfer or Reset iPad->Reset, Reset Network Settings

The Apple Store probably couldn't help you more than resetting your Network Settings, because if you used their internet connection to test, it would probably work.

The possible issues have already been discussed:

• Network settings on the iPad are hosed (Reset Network Settings)
• iOS on the iPad is hosed (Backup and Restore)
• Network connection to the internet is flaky (low bandwidth connection with high usage, bad DNS, Modem needs rebooting.....)

I suspect the Network over everything else based on the issues you keep reporting. Try the Network Settings reset and see if that helps.

but i DID reset the network setting couple days ago… not at the same time when i rebooted the internet. Im still waiting for my mom to feel better so i can bring in our internet guy. So far when he can see from the pics and messages i sent him he thinks it has to do with ipv6. Im not sure what that is…

IPv6 is a larger address space (128 bits) for devices to communicate on the Internet than the previous IPv4 (32 bits), that most of us currently use.

I highly doubt that IPv6 is causing any issues as most ISPs have not enabled IPv6 yet, as NAT allows for many devices to hide behind 1 IPv4 address just fine. If IPv6 were enabled there would essentially be no difference seen by you. I can see you are using IPv4 to connect here, showing that IPv6 has nothing to do with your problems.
