Has anyone removed the round belt clip attachment disc from inside the iSkin? I have no use for a belt clip and the two studs that stick out are annoying me a little. The disc says "Do Not Remove." The only negative I can see to doing is this is that it leaves two small holes exposed in the case and dust could get inside. I might try to seal up the holes with something.
From the pictures I've seen, just about everyone has removed the belt clip and the disc, despite the "do not remove", myself included. The other side effect is that the skin is "loose" where the disc used to be--it doesn't cling to the iPod there; there is a bit of space/air between that part of the skin and the back of the iPod. But it's fine.

I've got a question for you.
I had a Evo2 for my 4g ipod and whenever I put the case my pocket and took it back out again the silicon caused friction with the inside of my trousers. It was as if it was stook to the inside.
Does this happen with the Evo3?

I believe the do not remove refers to the rubber-ish sticker/covering on that particular piece.

Got mine today, and I have to say I'm not that thrilled. I like the protection, but a couple of things really bother me. First is the covered hold switch. I have to monkey around a lot to get it to actually move the switch underneath, plus you can't see the orange markings, so it's up to remember which way way is on and which is off. After much cursing, I ended up cutting the rubber over the hold switch off. Secondly, it's a pain to get the rubber flange to lay under the VISOR and on top of the iPod surface. As I'm trying to tuck it in, the rubber lip wants to curl against the side of the iPod instead of slipping in between the VISOR and the iPod. It's a hassle to get it on and off. Finally, the black case is an unbelievable dust and dirt magnet! It already had gunk all over the outside by the time I put my iPod inside.

I think I'm going to try the zCover instead.

With the artic case, you can see the hold switch through the case, which is pretty convenient. It takes a bit of practice but it's usable. Regarding installation of the case, yeah the first time was a bit of a #####. The trick is to pull the side of the case outward away from the player a bit. then the two lips will stick striaght out, and you can carefully slide it in so that the bottom goes under the visor and the top over it. After a few tries (took it out to show a friend what his black 5G would look like in it, took it out to cut off the dock adapter cover, etc.) it's pretty quick and easy now. I can get the whole thing on in about 30 seconds now from start to finish.

I ordered mine on Jan 1 and received it yesterday Jan 11. The problem is that I now want to return it and trying to get iSkin to acknowledge my request with an RMA has been difficult.

I'm returning the case not because it is defective - it is simply because my use of the iPod requires me to constantly take it in and out of the case (I have DLO TransPod for the car and an MM50 at home). Not easy to do on eVo3.

By the way anybody have any recommendations for a more suitable case?

what are the holes in the back for? sorry if this has been asked before.

I'd be worried about dust getting in there and scratching the metal though

but the metal can be repaired with brasso ?
the lil groups of holes in the back is for air to get in so the ipod does nto overheat...the 2 larger ones are for the beltclip, which i took off and will never use.

i took it out...and the "do not remove" is NOT for the whole disk, its for the sticky layer of gel stuff thats on it....so just so you know...you can take it out.....otherwise the lil studs would get quite annoying.

Unfortunately, I had the eclipse (black) case, and it's opaque.

Does anybody have pictures of the arctic? I don't really like how it looks from these pictures for some reason. Maybe the advertisments for it made it look a lot better?
