I've red on another forum that NTFS causes problems when trying to sync photos onto a nano 3rd gen. I tried for ages to sync my photos with no success from my C drive which is NTFS under Windows Vista, I then copied the photos onto a FAT32 drive and they synced with no problems at all.

I have also noticed a similar issue when dragging a dropping a movie into iTunes, if I do it from a FAT32 file system, the movie goes into iTunes with no problems, if I try and do the same thing with the same movie from my NTFS drive, it takes ages to go into iTunes and once in, will not play.

Is this a common issue for both photo's and movies?

The reason I ask is that my PC keeps warning me I have RAID write errors and the NTFS drive is a RAID drive whereas my FAT32 drive is not, I want to check that the known issue with photos is also present for movies, if it is then fine, if it is not, then it looks like my hard drive is on it's way out?!
