Windows iTunes still slow and buggy....

Everything works in extremely slow motion on my dual core machine. Everything seems as if there is a delay of 5 seconds from moving the window around the desktop to pausing/playing. Even the time counter at the top counts in like 8 second increments.

This is driving me crazy... So far I don't see any improvements over the initial v.7 release.

So, no one is experiencing this as well? Even maximizing and minimizing the app takes 5 second! Pausing/playing music is excruiciating. FWIW, my collection lies on a networked 'mapped drive' share, and this has never been a problem in the past.

Well, it does seem that having a mapped drive that stores your music is the root of the problem. Installing itunes on the "server" machine solves the problem, but it's rather inconvenient as I have to use 'remote desktop' to access it.
