Will using a 4G dock with a 5g iPod damage the connector?

I'm just wondering since i just recieved some hand-me-down 4G gear (dock, wallcharger, firewire cord). It feels a little loose and I'm worried that it might loosen the connector over time.

this question was already asked. but it won't damage it. only if you intend to, such as pushing it really hard while it's on the dock. also that's why you got a dock adapter included with your 5G.

The dock adaptor doesn't fit.

if it doesnt fit then dont put it in, unless you want a custom made ipod that only works with one dock
