Will iPhone work with Nike+?

I just tried putting in the Nike plug and I got the following message:

"This accessory is not supported by iPhone."


So, I guess right now the answer is no.

I'm guessing it will be this way forever so that Apple provides a reason to purchase the standard iPod nano.

I was hoping to replace my nano with the iPhone, but I use the Nike+ Sport Kit every day. As a result, I think I'm going to keep my nano and upgrade my Windows Smartphone which has better Exchange Server & Outlook integration.
