Interesting.... I don't know what algorithm it uses, though.
Having put in as my preferred reading list one modern-day mystery ("Aftermath"), one historical novel ("The Game of Kings"), and one classic ("Bleak House"), it recommended a whole lot of science fiction! Now, as it happens I quite like science fiction, but how did it know that?

cumbersome. After putting in selections, one can check all selections in list. But, then may recommend a book you have read, but don't like. You can either not put it in (no way to have next read reflect what you don't like) or check all the books except the few you want to eliminate from recommendation consideration. Also very picky about book titles. Ommission of an apostrophe usually results in no match.

I typed in four different books, and got back the message that they couldn't make any recommendations. Finally, I typed in "Patrick O'Brian" (and had to type in "Master and Commander" since they couldn't find later books in the series) and got back some strange recommendations.robert said:Strange set of recommendations resulted.
