Last night i left my iPod plugged into the Firewire port of my PC to charge, and left it overnight to charge. The next morning (Today) I turned my PC's monitor on and it must have rebooted itself during the night, and gave me the error "PLEASE INSERT BOOTABLE MEDIA" or a message of the sort. At once, i started thinking that one of my hard drives have died on me, but then i started to wonder, I set my iPod to be viewed as a regular hard drive on my computer, as well as last night was the first time i left my Ipod on the cradle during a reboot (Even though i didnt reboot it myself, it did anyway).

Is there any chance that when the computer reboots, it saw the iPod as a regular hard drive and searched for the MBR on the iPod (Obviously not finding one), thus giving me the "Insert Bootable Media" error?

Has anyone noticed this or could this be the case?
