I am trying to convert a VCD into ipod compatible file. I copied the .dat file to my harddrive and renamed it to a .mpg file which still played fine. I ran it through Videora and it created a .mp4 file, but when I open it on itunes, all I can hear is static and I can't see anything at all.

Additionally, the mpg file was 40MB (it was a music video) and the .mp4 file turned into about 4MB.

I thought Videora can convert .mpg files? Is there another program or method that I will be able to complete my task? Thanks so much! I'm desperate.

Another question: I thought the Videora will convert files to a h264 file, not a mp4 file?

I just tried change it to SP setting. Still nothing at all :( The file still comes out to only 4MB big from a 40MB .mpg file & all that plays is just static audio, no video at all.

I really want to convery my VCD files. Any help available? Thanks!
