I don't think I've ever seen a band do 3 songs on SNL before. But at the
end of tonight's episode, after already having done 2 new songs during
the show, U2 stops the ending of SNL (when they all wave goodbye) and
run up to their equipment and start playing "I Will Follow". Then, after lap dancing for some girl in the audience and having Amy Polan (sp?) grab him, Bono makes a point
to stress that they are LIVE (a dig at A. Simpson?) and it looks like they are going
to play yet another song when NBC cuts to commercial. Pretty darn cool.
Still one of the best bands on the planet. The cast was loving it!

i caught the end as well. amazing how they played 3 songs.... and then Bono exclaimed, "One more!" just as nbc was ending the rolling of the credits. shame they couldnt just extend the show a couple minutes. i dont think anyone would have been upset over missing the first 5 minutes of dial-a-date.....
