I don't think I've ever seen a band do 3 songs on SNL before. But at the
end of tonight's episode, after already having done 2 new songs during
the show, U2 stops the ending of SNL (when they all wave goodbye) and
run up to their equipment and start playing "I Will Follow". Then, after lap dancing for some girl in the audience and having Amy Polan (sp?) grab him, Bono makes a point
to stress that they are LIVE (a dig at A. Simpson?) and it looks like they are going
to play yet another song when NBC cuts to commercial. Pretty darn cool.
Still one of the best bands on the planet. The cast was loving it!
