Hi Folks,

Thanks for your help with same.

So I have the latest Apple TV set top box which has a 128GB storage with same.

I have a legacy USB stick which contains a number of video files, movies, concerts etc and if it’s possible I would like to transfer these to my Apple TV box storage and watch them on my Apple TV.

Firstly, is this possible and if so was is the best method for transferring data, (Have laptop etc if needed).

Secondly, if I achieve this how do I watch the files on Apple TV, how do I access through the menu etc?

Appreciate your help with same

Simon.

This is not something I have done, as I have not bothered to buy an Apple TV set top.

From what I recall, if you have iTunes on your computer, and it is logged into the same account, then movies that live there can be transferred over the network to the Apple TV 4K. It would just take dragging and dropping the videos from the USB stick to the Movies folder in iTunes and it should sync with your Apple TV 4K. These would be in your Movies folder in the Apple TV 4K menu.

I see there is also an Apple TV app that may work as well. Importing the videos from the USB drive to the Apple TV app and making some changes may work as well. https://nerdschalk.com/how-to-import-video-files-to-apple-tv-library/

If that doesn't work, I can contact someone I know with an Apple TV 4K and see what we can do to get this to work for you.
