transfer music files between apple devices

is all music on ipod touch associated with itunes?
I want to copy music files which are not copywrited from ipod touch to my mac book pro.
can such a transfer be accomplished without internet?

Here's my situation. Mom passed away, I have her Ipod and she underwent a few past life regression sessions which were audio recorded. these sessions are on her ipod and I want to keep these files by moving them to my mac book pro. or my Iphone
However I do not have her apple id.
is there a way to copy these files?
I do not know if they are on itunes
they are under the music icon on her ipod touch
any help will be much appreciated

Being an iPod Touch, it is running iOS, making it necessary to purchase 3rd party software to extract the music from the device.

It would be easier to access the computer she synced the iPod Touch with and get the music from there to a thumb drive.

If you can’t access that computer or she didn’t sync the iPod Touch, then you need to get software to help.
