Transfer contacts from iPhone to Sim?

I know you can copy contacts from Sim to iPhone but how do you copy from the iPhone to Sim?

I am under the impression that the iPhone auto saves to the SIM but I may be wrong.

I always though every GSM phone saved automatically to the SIM as well, until I saw an export and import option on the non-iPhone cells

Nope, doesn't save to the Sim. I am getting my iPhone replaced so I am currently using my old crappy Razr V3 with no contacts right now I'm too lazy to type it into my phone from Outlook express so now I have to carry a ghetto around me lol.

It does auto save, but not completely.
I have upgraded iphones twice and still have the same sim. Most of the contacts were there, but not all of them.
Don't know why ?

I disagree. The few times I have lost connectivity with MobileMe, due to MM issues not my phone, importing from the SIM has saved me. The contacts do get saved to the SIM, otherwise nothing would have happened in the interim. The most recent additions were not there, so it may not an all inclusive auto save, but something is there.
