Hi,

As I understand (just need confirmation) in MC9, if you sync your music and add new files it will skip over the ones already on your iPod and just add the new stuff yeah?

Anyways, my question is with regards to filenames. I've heard that having foreign characters can mess things up a little bit and I have a handful of MP3's with an '?' in their filename and tag info which I've now changed. When I next need to upload some tracks to my iPod by syncing will it automatically recognize the tag changes? Do I have to select some option to replace the previous file - I'm assuming it will believe it's a different file due to the difference in tags, so how can I go about deleting the old track (the one with the foreign character) off my iPod - by using the menu on the left and doing so manually?

Cheers,

Rich.

When you sync, the process will take the newer changes, assuming all the files you changed are in a playlist/smartlist you have checked for synchronization. You won't have to worry about manually copying those files over.

There has been a bug for some of us where the playlists would "disappear" from our iPods after a sync leaving us to rebuild the database (within MC9) and running another sync. I thought I figured it out, but I didn't...still unsure what to do. Hopefully you won't run into that problem. ;)
