• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

So, at my school, we have 8 days of school left. After that, I'm free! Anyway, what are all you guys doing during the summer?

I'm hanging out, then working for a couple weeks, then I'm going on vacation in North Carolina.

I finish my last exam on the 20th June. Then I've got a summer of work lined up. I need as much money as possible for univeristy, where I'll be studying economics. I probably won't have much of a social life during this period though as I'm working.

Off to Italy and France for two months. Going to be visiting my family whom I haven't seen for a while in Sicily, Rome, Milano, Florence, etc. Also will be visiting Paris, Nice, and Monaco.

Should be fun.

Usual family holiday to the South of France. *Yawns*
And Reading Festival, going with some mates to some random, tiny island off Scotland that someones Uncle owns, and the obligatory trip to see my Grandparents. Ooh and I might go on this World Youth Day pilgrimage in Germany (bah!) to see the Pope.. but it sounds a bit crap. Also I need to get a job.
This, however, is after I've gone back to school for four weeks or so and started my A2's. For some stupid reason we have to go back after the exams.

Ahh, parla italiano?

I have a small place on Capri (beautiful island paradise about 1 hour south of Napoli by boat for those who don't know), my wife and I are Italian, we love it there.

Where I live it's always summer break, been thinking of taking a road trip up to San Francisco and Yosemite for some climbing, camping and mountainbiking.

And lots of BBQ's.

Damn you the rest of the world!

I have the rest of the month worth of exams, a two week break, then into another 13 week semester.

But enjoy your mid-year break everybody (notice how I'm not being stringent with a rule of thumb calling it summer? ;)).

Another thing I am going to do a lot is go out to our extended family's lake cabin, we live on a lake that isn't really high class, but there is a lot of middle class cabins, but we have a big cabin area surrounded by trees, and that is really nice, no neighbors to #### off or anything like that, in fact, it is where part of my family started out. One of my grandma's best memories is learning how to drive on a HOMEMADE tractor, she later on drove that tractor into the lake too.

Oh yeah, get off the sidewalks, I am getting my license soon :D

Si, io parlo italiano.

I know someone from the Capri area, that's along the D'Amalfi coast is it not? I'd like to visit that area, but would prefer to stay away from the inner-city of Napoli..

I'm teaching summer school in July :(

I'll get some time off in August, however, and, so far, I have plans to do the following:

See minor league baseball games in San Berdoo
Spend a few days at the in-law's cabin in Lake Arrowhead
Take a trip w/the wife and kid to Monterey Bay
Go fishing with friends

And, unfortunately, spend a WEEK in hell *cough* at a professional development seminar for teachers of at-risk students. If you're a teacher, you feel my pain...

Here's a map, they're pretty close. Yea, don't go to downtown Napoli if you can avoid it, it's not a pretty sight and a bit scary; however, Napoli and surrounding areas such as Capri does have the best food in Italia. If you get a chance to check out Siena (short drive or train from Firenze), it's a great little town, I've seen the Palio there, one of the coolest events I've ever witnessed, and IMHO Siena has the second best Duomo in Italia (my favorite is a Milano). Anyway have a good time, manga molto del gelato!
