Sudden Restart Without Warning?

While surfing the web on WiFi, my iPod Touch suddenly, without me touching any of the buttons, went to a black screen and then the Apple logo appeared. It remained for about 15 minutes, which is a long time for a restart, and then the wall paper screen appeared.

Anyone else have this problem, and any suggestions to prevent this from happening in the future?

This same exact thing happened to me a couple weeks ago when I was in itunes on the touch. And I am not sure why it happened. Hopefully apple will release that fix in a new firmware. By the way, does anyone know how to make my jailbroken ipod touch 2g run faster. It seems to run slower now that it is jailkbroken. I know that wallpapers take up lots of ram, but can you install something to make it faster?
