I had my 4th gen stolen out of my truck a short while ago along with some other stuff and was wondering if there is a way to get it to not sync with a new iTunes library. I already reported it stolen to the police with a description and serial so if they try and pawn it I'll get it back. I just don't want some thieving scumbag to enjoy their ill-gotten gains.

unfortunately the short answer is.. NO

Apple could stop it since the serial is used when syncing but they choose not to. this has been discussed in this forum somewhere.

Oh, well. I guess I'll just have to get a Refurb from the online Apple store to replace the one that was stolen.

Nope, the only way to rectify the situation is to shoot the piece of trash who stole it.
