OK, I've really got into bands such as Maximo Park, Test Icicles and Arctic Monkeys, and I was wondering if someone, (or people), could point me in the direction of a few other bands like those... :) Just list a few, maybe add some 'Must Listen' to songs. :)

EDIT: Just heard some of The New Pornographers! Really like them too!

Libertines, Futureheads, The Bravery, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, etc. are obvious choices.

Perhaps some Brit-Pop - Blur, Supergrass

I'd also go with Wolf Parade, Hot Hot Heat, A.C. Newman (since you like The New Pornographers) for some good Canadian content.

Pushing it back to Post-Punk - Gang Of Four, The Fall, and maybe even Pere Ubu..

Thank you mam. :D

I've listened to Bloc Party and some of The Futureheads.

I've also listened to the Kaiser Cheifs, The Libertines, Razorlight, though not The Bravery. I'll check those out.

Thanks for the lists Sypher and Dan! I'll make my way through them! :)

I also forgot about British Sea Power. You should grab an issue of NME Magazine if they sell them there.

As for Supergrass, it's edgy and energetic 90s Brit-Pop, get I Should Coco, that should be right up your alley..

Damn! Beaten to it by the youth once more...I'll do my best with what's left:

5 O'Clock Heroes - Head Games EP
Nine Black Alps - The whole album is a must for me.
Subways - Mary,With You,Rock & Roll Queen
Kubichek! - Opening Shot
The Dead 60's - Riot Radio, Loaded Gun
The Kooks - Eddie's Gun,Sofa Song
The Rakes - 22 Grand Job,Strasbourg
Hard-Fi - Tied Up Too Tight,Cash Machine (full album really)
Babyshambles - #### Forever,32nd Of December,Pipedown,Killamangiro (new album out soon)

I'll second The Libertines. First album 'Up The Bracket' is the best.
If you want to know where the Libertines & Babyshambles got their sound from, check out The Clash, the best band ever.

New issue of NME is out today ER if you want to follow Dan's recommendation. (it's worth it)

That's me for now...

I'll take a look at the latest copy of NME. I think I remember reading it before... :)

I've started to get through some songs, and I really like The Subways, Hard-Fi, Babyshambles, Nine Black Alps, Death From Above 1979 and The Paddingtons! I'm still making my way through the rest! :)

Well Sypher and iMacc got all the good ones, so I'll just add Dogs Die in Hot Cars. Their album Please Describe Yourself is up there with 2004's best, IMO.

For your convenience, here's a free download available on insound :D

Kasabian is really good, though I have no idea how to say their name, but oh well. I recommend Club Foot, LSF and perhaps Processed Beats, but those are just my favorites, not necessarily their best.

You also might be interested in Kasabian, Emultion...

Of course not, Dan/Doug! In fact, I was gonna say British Sea Power was an excellent suggestion! And you did mention the Libs, so you're A++ in my book. ;)

Well, it was named about Linda Kasabian (Charles Manson's getaway driver) and I always pronounced that as "Kah-say-bee-ahn".

And antiditz, I appreciate yor approval... ;)

OK, I've finally got round to listening to some of The Spinto Band. Like their stuff, I bought 'Oh Mandy' and 'Brown Boxes'.

My music tastes have definatly evolved. I used to listen to only Classic Rock, and now I absolutly love that Indie/Alternative genre! :) Some bands I have really gotten into are:

Bloc Party
Spinto Band
The Libertines
Babyshables
Razorlight
We Are Scientists
Nine Black Alps
Hot Hot Heat
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
LCD Soundsystem
Arctic Monkeys
Maximo Park
The New Pornographers
Kaiser Cheifs

I'd also suggest Wolf Parade, my favourite indie band, currently.

Since you like LCD Soundsystem I'd suggest you check out other artists from DFA (Death From Above) Records, which James Murphy (of LCDSS) co-founded, such as The Rapture, The Juan Maclean, and Black Dice. This is the indie-dance or dance-punk genre, other notable artists from this genre are !!!, and Out Hud.
