Background: Been using iPods since they were created. Had 6-7 of them so far. Use iTunes all the time.

When I create a Playlist, I cannot rearrange the songs. I click on that little space to the left of the song name column and the little arrow appears, and nothing.

Here, I made a video with my Nano :D

Have you got Shuffle turned on?
Thats all i can think of. It needs to be off to move tracks around.

Glad it worked.
I still find iTunes confusing but this caught me out recently so i figured it might be that.

Did it use to be that way on previous iTunes or is this new? I don't know why you can't rearrange Shuffle which can be turned on and off, one thing shouldn't have anything to do with the other.

They shouldn't, but they always have affected one another. I did learn something in this thread, though. They changed the ability to re-arrange smartlists since I first added that information to my smartlist document, I'll be sure to fix that in the re-write I'm working on.

No idea how long its been like that but im pretty sure it was like that in older versions, at least version 8.
I guess if its on shuffle then its supposed to be random and so i can sort of see why you cant move them.

I had a nightmare trying to do a 5 hour shuffled play list but it had to start with a specific track. Thats how i figured this moving thing out.

That's interesting, were you able to figure out a way?
