I'm in the process of transferring the songs on my iPod to my powerbook. However everytime it's complete i notice that there are a lot of songs missing. I checked it out and realized that the songs that didn't transfer were *.m4p files (protected ones from itunes music store) Is there anyway i can ensure that all these are transfered? I actually tried renaming them to .m4a files...didn't really work. BTW: this isn't only podutil naturally; pretty much any program that transfers ipod files to a computer

There's an article here with indepth info on using PodUtil in the iPod 201 tutorial series. http://www.ipodlounge.com/article_more.php?id=5090_0_8_0_M

I have transfered my protected songs before and they TF'd just fine. I just tested iPod Agent with my protected files and they transfered with no problem. I never used PodUtil, but check and see, via the article, if there is some setting you need to change.
