I am trying to add some photos from my pc to my Iphone 5 using Itunes ( latest version). But there is no longer a photo tab. I have spent a considerable amount of time researching this and there is no answer. I have hid and unhidden my side bar but there is no option tab for photos, either in itunes or my Iphone when I click on it as a device. Is this no longer an option on itunes?
I can look at my Iphone through window explorer and see the folder with my photos but I can not add anything to it.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

In iTunes, click on your iPhone in the button bar.
In the left column under your iPhone there is a Photo section, click on that.
In the right side, there is the Sync Photos section. Check that and select your folder/album.

The Photos section you see in Windows Explorer is a folder to get your camera photos off of the iPhone. You can copy and delete them from there.

Really?

My guess is that by enabling iCloud Photo Library disables import from PC.
Kind of like using iTunes Match prevents local music sync.
Or Apple Music prevents iTunes Music Sync.

photo sharing

yes that was the problem. Turned off Icloud photo sharing and it gave me the option to choose a folder to synch with. I am assuming that if I wanted certain pictures uploaded to my phone I'd have to create that folder first as it does not seem to be able to select individual photos.

Thanks for your help

itunes/iphone photo icon missing

I have an iphone 6 and use itunes 12.7.46 installed on my win7 laptop, when phone is connected to itunes there are no photo icons either along the top of the main itunes page or on the side bar under devices/phone. I have tried everything to find out why but nothing works,
I have disabled icloud photo sharing this makes no difference,
I have contacted Apple support via on line chat after appox 2 hours over two day's no solution to be honest they were useless. Surely I am not alone with this problem?
Can anyone help or advise.
regards
Brian

Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but I think you want to see the Photo Settings for syncing pictures to your phone.

1. Plug in iPhone to computer with iTunes
2. Click on the button on the top bar that looks like your iPhone. Should be the right most button for the set of buttons on the left.
3. In the left column, in the top section, click on Photos.

The right hand column will have your settings on the photos that you sync from your computer to the iPhone.

Now if you are looking for the actual photos, they don't show up in iTunes. You have to use Windows Explorer or Finder to navigate to the iPhone Drive, then the DCIM folder, then the sub-folders.

Not sure what iCloud photos has to do with this, but if there are pictures in iCloud photos, you can re-enable it, then access from your device, and remove or save what you want. Or log into iCloud.com with your AppleID and access them there.

Knowing what the goal is could help get you to the right answer.
