Muffled bass?

So, I was listening to my iPod through my computer speakers today and I noticed the high peaks of the bass are muffled a bit. I tried the song on my Apple earbuds, EX71's, and my iHome and it sounds the same. I tried most of the EQ's but it only happens on Bass Booster and Loudness which are the ones I use the most. Anyone get the same problems or is it just me?

EDIT: Turns out that it was just the song. I'm just not used to the bass in this iPod, it's much better than the 1G nano.

It's an iPod thing. My bass is muffled/clipped on songs with no eq. The Nano does not like songs recorded with high gain.
