Before registering to write this post, I read all the tips and the faq regarding the ipod.
I'm getting mine in about 28 hours (got a counter going at www.jamous.com.br
)
Thing is, when I started reading the forum, I read some major cool tips that arent in the tips of faq section... I think it'd be nice to really grow those with the tips from the forii... especially if the tip was given bv moderators, like this one:
"...When you iPod has many songs, the distribution of songs among the folders speeds up seek time on the iPod. If the iPod needs to search too long to find a song it will skip it.
Additionally, most other programs rename the files to a random number to prevent another skipping problem from occuring. The iPod will skip songs that have foreign characters in them.
I advise that you do the same, which you can in ephod. Under the Configure ephpod dialog you can set it to distribute the songs in F00-F19 folders and you can set it to rename the files.
You can still download from w/in ephpod if you want and it'll name them for you. "
thanks for listening
