Hi, I can't sync my music or libraries since I let Match expire. I am using current version of Itunes on a Mac. Can't sync music to my iphone4s or 3gs.
. All I get is this stupid Itunes Match is on message where I should be able to check off songs or libraries to sync. I would upload a screen shot but new members can't upload images or links.

Disabling iTunes Match, and having it stay disabled, on an iPhone can be tricky. iTunes Match is not compatible with an iPhone 3Gs so that shouldn't be an issue but it does work with the iPhone 4S. Here is the procedure I follow whenever I can't get iTunes Match to stay disabled on my iPhone 5:
1. Select Settings
2. Select General
3. Select Usage
4. Select Music
5. Select Edit
6. Push the red circle icon that comes up next to All Music.
7. Push the back arrows until you are in the main Settings area.
8. Scroll down to Music.
9. Disable iTunes Match again.
10. Push the Home button.
11. Turn your iPhone completely off.
12. Turn your iPhone completely back on.
13. Open up Settings again.
14. Scroll down to Music and select it.
15. Ensure that iTunes Match is still disabled.
16. Plug the iPhone into your computer and sync it.

I recently had to restore my iPhone 5 and start from scratch with it. iTunes Match would not turn off no matter what I did until I found this weird procedure online. It seems to work as everyone in the thread, including myself, has reported success.

Thanks for the reply kornchild2002. I did go through the steps on my iphone which didn't make a difference. My problem is with Itunes. Match seems to be stuck on there under the music tab when I click on my device in the left side menu of Itunes.

I'm not sure what you are talking about then. In iTunes, click on Store and then Turn Off iTunes Match. That's all you have to do to disable iTunes Match in iTunes.

The issue is that your iPhone is still set to sync with iTunes Match and not your iTunes library. Follow these steps:
1. Select Settings
2. Select General
3. Select Usage
4. Select Music
5. Select Edit
6. Push the red circle icon that comes up next to All Music.
7. Push the back arrows until you are in the main Settings area.
8. Restart your iPhone by completely turning it off and then back on.
9. Open Settings.
10. Scrolls down to Music.
11. Enable iTunes Match.
12. Plug the iPhone into your computer.
13. Let it go through the normal process.
14. Eject the iPhone from your computer and unplug it.
15. Open Settings on your iPhone.
16. Scroll down to Music.
17. Disable iTunes Match.
18. Push the Home button.
19. Restart your iPhone.
20. Open up Settings.
21. Scroll down to Music.
22. Ensure that iTunes Match has been disabled.
23. Plug your iPhone into your computer and sync it as normal.

I'm afraid that is all I have to offer. If you are still having issues, you will need to either pay a visit to an Apple Store or e-mail Apple for help (you can't call them unless you've paid for AppleCare with your iPhone 4s).

Thanks, seems the apple store is my only option, and it's an hour from where I live.
I tried to go to usage then music, but music is unavailable to choose as an option and it says no data next to it.

Is there a way I can completely remove itunes from my mac and reinstall it? I tried to delete it but it won't let me because it's part of the operating system.

Just for the record, I turned off Match on my phone and Itunes again after turning it back on, rebooted both the pc and device and it worked this time. Can't explain why but all is working normal now.

Your iPhone crashing has nothing to do with iTunes Match. That is a completely separate problem that you need to solve first.
