I have set up all of my smart playlist to include LAST SKIPPED IS NOT IN THE LAST 5 DAYS. This just does not work on the iPod. These playlists also include LAST PLAYED IS NOT IN THE LAST 5 DAYS.

All of my Smart Playlists have Live Updating enabled.

If I completely play through a song, or FFW through the song, that track will disappear from the playlist next time I access the plylist on the iPod. However, not so with the Last Skipped feature.

I doesn't even work withing iTunes a lot of the time. Sometimes skipping a track will remove it from the playlist, sometimes it does not.

I think that if you play a file by double clicking it, then skip it, the skip count does not change, but if you skip the next track that is now playing as a result of the previous skip, the skip count / date will update.

Anyone have any definitive info on this, as right now, it's pointless for the iPod.

It's working for me, but there is a certain amount of playback time after which it won't consider the track as actually being "skipped".... I think it's around 30 seconds or so.

Also, it does require that the track be skipped using the "next" button in iTunes (or on the iPod) as opposed to simply selecting another track.
