I know I have managed before but, how do i get a new purchased audiobook from tunes store to my i phone 11.

The new download is there on my i tunes but, when I connect my phone, a new page seems to open and my new purchase isn't there.

Regards Denn

  1. Open iTunes on a computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer running iTunes
  3. Click on your iPhone in the button bar above your music.
  4. Click on Audiobooks in the left pane under your iPhone
  5. Check Sync Audiobooks in the main window (If not already checked)
  6. Click on Selected audiobooks in the upper bar
  7. Check the audiobook(s) you want to sync in the Audiobooks pane which may have a scroll bar to see more
  8. Click on Apply
  9. Wait for the Sync to complete
  10. Disconnect the iPhone
  11. Use the Books app to listen to the audiobooks

Thank you for your well instructed reply.

I tried everything you said to do but I stll cannot get it on my phone. When I open tunes its there in a list amongst songs which I also cannot get to my phone.

I did post last year where I asked if there was any way to get my deleted songs back onto my phone, they were on a playlist which somehow got deleted. . I have all the music there under songs on my i phone.
Kind regards Denn

Those instructions would work if the audiobook is in iTunes already in the Audiobook section.

If you don't have it there, you would have to ensure that it is downloaded to iTunes on your computer. I don't have iTunes in front of me to find the option, but I believe it is in the File menu somewhere.

There are a couple problems. First off and most important, those are not audio books. They are digital booklets, kind of like a PDF.

They may not need to be synced to the iPhone, as the Books app should show these in the Library section if they were purchased from the iTunes Store. They can be directly downloaded in Books by double tapping the item.

The second problem is they are tagged as Music, not Book(s). I don’t have iTunes with me to see the Type of file it should be.
