If you're looking to replace your home stereo and play music loud the iM3c probably won't do it for you but if you want to have a small portable stereo system for use any where this is a great pick. I've loved it and have been using it more than my home stereo since I can't play music too loud. It's a great stand for videos although the angle isn't far enough back when flat on a desk. I suspect that was because it was intended for music before the Video iPod came out. I can't speak for the JBL speakers but for one it doesn't come in black so it was out immediately.
