Better Than Cats
So, this is sort of left-field, I'm not sure how many loungers are into folk, but here goes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackson_C._Frank is a good source of information. To put it simply, his life sort of sucked. He put out only one album in his life, called either Blues Run the Game or Jackson C. Frank, I can't tell. They both have the same songs, but the easy to find CDs today are deluxe editions of Blues that contain a bazillion bonus tracks. Anyway, he was an excellent songwriter, in my opinion, and wrote the title track, which you may have heard covered by Simon & Garfunkel as a bonus track on the Sound of Silence re-release, or by Nick Drake or a bunch of other people. It's also covered by COlin Meloy (of the Decemberists) on his new solo album.
Anyway, I highly recommend this CD. It's on iTunes, both the deluxe edition and the regular one. It's on Amazon for 7.99 for DRM-free high-quality downloads for 7.99 which is how I got it. The deluxe CD which is the only thing I could find for sale in a physical format is about 20 bucks.
