iTunes CD Problems

I have been using iTunes successfully since it was released. Just today I have developed a problem ripping or playing CDs. iTunes seems to go through each track in less than a second and doesn play or import any music. Any thoughts?

i also have a problem ripping cds to my itunes collection. i ripped an entire album and all the tracks come up as being rediculously long (740 minutes) and none of the songs work. any ideas?
