Okay -- I'll admit I was a late comer -- I didn't start really getting into itunes until just before 7.0 came out --can't remember the actual version no. So please explain -- what do you mean by custom cd views in the first place? I don't think I'm familiar with the concept (unless by another name) -- much less itunes remembering it or not... thanks in advance.

Do tell. It must be before my itunes-using days. Unless you're talking about you insert a CD and sort by title or something, take the CD out, put it back in and it still sorts by title.

It can't mean custom burned playlists, because iTunes always remembers the CD's I've burned and the tracks on them unless I uninstall and reinstall iTunes or my computer is reformatted.

That means any non-default fields that you choose to view, such as Year, Comments, BPM, etc. will be that way every time you insert a CD; it had been resetting to the defaults.
