• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

That was fast. Only one update from 5.0. Wow.

Anyway, let's all take a few moments to remember the few moments we spent with iTunes 5.0.

I remember eagerly installing it, hoping that the playlist folders would carry over to the iPod. Alas, they did not...

I remember reading reports of some people having issues with it.

And I played approx. 1455 songs with it.

That's about all I can think of...

Have the looks been retained?

I thought that was a massive step forward in terms of design.

Honestly, I could care less!

Bring on 6! (installing it on the hard drive as we speak!)

It's live on Apple's site now. It looks the same at first glance.

I've noticed the play window has lost it's shiny look somewhat. It still looks cool in version 6, but looks more flat.

I kind of like the old look. I guess the new one isn't too bad though.

I still haven't installed it.. 33MB takes a while to download :p I really wish Apple could start making an updater, where it would only update the components that needed, as I'm sure a lot of that 33MB is already on my HD from iTunes 5.

I remember installing it, using it for a few minutes, closing it, coming back to it 4 hours later, finding myself uninstalling it and reinstalling it to use it again. Then doing that every other day just to use it.

"It" made me mad.

That's funny that they changed the 'lcd' already. I don't really care either way but I do like the glassier look.

Gee and I only took the plunge and downloaded 5 the other day and was experiencing freezing issues on every other day.

I would then have to get Task Manager to switch tasks so it would unfreeze.

I wonder if there are fixes in 6 for the freezing issues on PC?

Might go try.

Well, I won't be mourning the passing of iTunes 5. I could never get the POS to work. Despite everything I tried I kept getting the iPod service problem and got quite expert at reverting to 4.9. I was some what stunned therefore when iTunes 6 worked straight away. I still don't think I'm quite ready to delete the 4.9 installer though.
