Is it true that it can't record?

I am just now exploring my blue iPod 2nd gen 4gig mini. I just read in another forum where someone said that the mini cannot accept recording adapters! Is this true? Does it mean that I won't be able to hook up a mic to it with any device?

That would be a bummer!

What other devices are there that won't work on the mini, if that is true? Please say it ain't so, Joe!
