Do a search on Google News. There are news articles from today that say Apple is going to fix the static issue with the Minis! Too bad mine is supposed to ship today before they fix it...

Maybe the original Minis will be very valuable since Apple will be changing them very soon.

When you say that ipodlounge gets some publicity, it has been in a Melbourne Newspaper with the actual webaddress. Its a pritty public site. Evens some reviews of the site.
