This has been bugging me since I got my 64Gig Touch - songs are randomly skipped while playing.
A song plays, it ends, goes to the next song, then immediately skips that song and goes to the next. It's not a problem with the song files, because if I go back, the song that was skipped plays fine.
I don't see that it happens with the same songs every time, but it does happen quite frequently, and is very annoying.
The other problem I have is if I create a genius playlist on the touch, then refresh it, it seems to just shuffle the same songs over and over, it does not pick many new songs for the updated playlist. Sometimes I don't particularly want to hear all the songs chosen for me, and am hoping to refresh a few times to get a better mix, but the same songs keep appearing. It happens in iTunes as well, but to a lesser degree.
Lastly - when are they going to fix the smart playlists and the song order in playlsts???? Sending feedback to Apple is useless as they don't seem to give a damn about this - instead, pushing genius playlists and genius mixes on us.
Don't get me wrong, I like the genius playists and genius mixes, but I also like my own smart playlists, which I've worked very hard on over the years and have always worked fine on the click wheel iPods.
