I am aware that the iPod has onboard memory that it uses as a "Buffer" so it isnt constantly draining power by using the HDD. Out of curiocity, how much Memory does it have for temporary storage?
The real question here is "what size is the memory buffer in the new 4G iPods"? My guess is that it's a good bit larger since Apple has achieved a greater batter life. We could all be getting good battery life if Apple hadn't gone with such a ridiculously small buffer size.
