Is it normal for my iPod to get a bit of lag when moving/changing through songs fast?

Yeah, it isn't happening often, just occasionally. So it is normal, correct? Thanks for the info.

So what-could it lead to something worse? If so I can still bring it back and get it exchanged.

If you are talking about just scrolling through a long list, there should be no lag.
If you are skipping tracks while listening, there will be a lag every few tracks while iPod spins up it's HD and reads the next few tracks into its memory buffer. This is quite normal.

Yes, that is what I was talking about (Changing tracks while listening).

Thanks for clearing it up for me.

i think a small bit as the ipod loads a list of songs onto a bit of memory its more tecnical but im not 100 percent sure so once those lists of songs has played it has to wait for more to be loaded onto it
