i guess im too late to edit... i just wanted to add, for the record, i tried all my apps, youtube, spotify, etc. the volume was maximum... no sound at all, i even tested my notifcation samples.... nothing. so i rebooted... now theres sound. this happened twice now. and my ipad does not have a mute button on its side. the only 3 buttons on there is the power and volume up and down... thats it.

Also i googled the problem... it mentioned if you dont have a mute button on the side then theres one in the control center. That thing you swipe down on the screen? It showed me a pic. It looked something like this but not exactly.... This is mine

The mute button they are referring to is the silent mode button. The Bell in your picture. If the Bell is dark with a light background, then silent mode is on. Tap it to turn it off. The picture above shows silent mode is off.

Odd that Apple does not mention silent mode on their sounds page: https://support.apple.com/guide/ipad/change-or-turn-off-sounds-ipadffb110fc/ipados or on their their speakers not working page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203794

The other possibility is the Moon button in your picture which is Do Not Disturb mode. If the Moon is dark with a light background then Do Not Disturb is on. Tap it to turn it off. The picture above shows Do Not Disturb is off.

The last thing that could be happening is IF you were connecting to Bluetooth speakers that you had set up. The radio signal in the Music box would be blue if this was the case. The picture above shows no Bluetooth connection is established. For me this happens occasionally because the speakers are outside so I don't hear them unless I am near windows next to the speakers.

Nope... i tried the first 2 i put the bell on mute the music player still played And then the mood...ditto
and i dont think it was the blue tooth because the bluetooth speakers were in the kitchen and i was in living room with no sound, i wouldve heard something.

Restores don't lose much. If you use the KeyChain to store passwords, those will be restored. You may lose your WiFi passwords, but that is pretty easy to rectify.

Probably nothing you did. Possibly a bad update install. Not your fault at all.

Ok, I restored it. The only problem is. I don’t have a lock screen. How do I turn it on?
