Is it just me?

I only want to see on my Phone what I have synced from my PC library - I then want to scroll through the albums, tracks on that basis.

As it is it's polluted by 10 years of odd tracks that i purchased from iTunes.

Is there a way?

Yes.
  1. Open the Music App
  2. Tap on Library if not already selected.
  3. Tap on Downloaded
  4. Tap on Albums, Artist, or Songs as you need.
The Downloaded section only shows what you have synced to the device.

Thanks

Well, I did try that - but no, they still show up there - and I have re-synced

Unfortunately everything downloaded from the iTunes store will show up there as well.

You can sync, removing all music, then sync again to add in the iTunes only music to see if that will delete them (sometimes this works)

The other way to remove the iTunes store music is to sync with no music, use iTunes to change to Manually Manage Music mode, then click on the iPhone, click into the Music section of the iPhone, and remove all tracks seen there. Then disable Manually Manage Music, and sync the iTunes tracks and this will make only the iTunes tracks show up.

Thanks will give it a go - it's so strange that things that seem an obvious requirement are so difficult
