I tried everything, but no luck

I downloaded version 7 itunes. i tried updating 1.2 firmware, but it keeps telling me i can't

i restarted my computer many times. i also tried restoring my ipod, but it won't let me.

what do i do???

Try rebooting the ipod.

You can always find an older version of the iPod updater software (if you ever updated your iPod's firmware then it is probably still installed on there, if not then you can use Google to find one) and try restoring your iPod with an older version of the firmware. Then, try updating it with iTunes 7.

I had the same problem and rebooting the Ipod has resolved it.

As a note you cant use the ol updaters with Itunes 7 installed (tried and it just says use Itunes 7 )
