I got a new computer a month or so ago and installed iTunes but accidentally installed the 32-bit. My computer is 64-bit, so I went to FileHippo and downloaded the 64-bit (http://filehippo.com/download_itunes_64/). I did the install, but it still installed in the Program Files (x86) folder which is where I though 32-bit apps were installed. I'm having weird issues with iTunes crashing, hanging, and not shutting down (stays in memory and I have to reboot). I thought these were 32-bit issues so that's what I tried to install the 64-bit. However, after installing the 64-bit, again, installed in the x86 folder and still have the same issues. Is there a way in iTunes to tell which version you are running? I tried going to Help > About, but that didn't say anything about 32/64-bit. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you get it from Apple directly? http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

If I remember correctly the setup file is iTunes64Setup.exe (the 32 bit version does not have the "64")

I can't remember where it installed on my 64 bit Vista, I am not home at the moment.

If you continue to have issues, check out the Apple article and don't skip the clean up the installers step.
