Your ipod battery suddenly not lasting as long as when u first bought it?! and you dont use extras like backlight?! ive found the solution!
Have your ipod fully charged and do not use it for 3-7 days. just have it 'off'.
then turn it on and fully charge it and start using it again as usual, and u will notice that your battery will be lasting waaaaaaay longer that when u first bought it. u will not see it go down even by a slither after a few songs. after a normal days use (constant 'next' clicking, used for 3 hours) i still had 3/4 left. before this i would have say 1/4 left.
NOW my battery is lasting roughly 9/10 hours on my normal use (still with constant next clicking). I found this out totally by accident by 'forgetting' to use my ipod.
I think its generally where the hard disk needs a break from the constant daily use. it needs a real real rest
Try it and see
