My IPad is stuck on a screen that has a plug pointing to itunes then above that it says "support.apple.com/ipad/restore". I was trying to download an app that said it required an updated version of ios. So... I hooked it up to my computer and tried to update my system and then it quit working. I tried to do everything that the youtube videos said to, nothing.

Then I thought, "well, maybe if I take the battery out"? What should I do?

The screen indicates that you should plug it into the iTunes computer you sync with. When this was done, it should have restored your last backup of the iPad back to the iPad, upgrading the operating system if needed/possible.

The process takes a while. Last time I restored a device it took 30 minutes, then the apps installed over the next 10 minutes.

What happened?
Did you see error messages on iTunes?
Is there an error message on the device?

What is your current state? The iPad is blank? Does it have something on the screen? What does iTunes say?
