Does anyone have experience or knowledge regarding
using the Google Fi cell service on thier ipad?

That model cannot support Google Fi, as the Google service requires LTE capability, which that iPad does not have.

I see. Can you advise on using Google Fi celluar on a ipad?

Are all ipads locked to a carrier i.e. Verzion, ATT etc ?

Generally iPads with cellular capabilities are by default configured to be compatible with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. You can get a SIM card that replaces the default card to support Verizon.

Google Fi connected iOS device uses a T-Mobile network only. The iPad cannot switch between networks for best connectivity. See more information:
