hi guys,

i can't seem to keep the genius folder from syncing to my nano

if i click "file" and click "library", it says "turn on genius"

so i assume that means i have it turned off, at the moment ?

it still shows up as "Genius" as my first playlist

that in itself is not so bad, as long as it would not transfer to the nano

i only have 6 or lines on my nano, and i dont want any screen filled up, to the point that i have to scroll

i have it designed such that it is at most a few clicks to get to where i want

No there is no way to remove "Genius Mixes" from the first playlist in the iPod Nano 7th generation. You just ignore the useless feature.

If you have more than 6, items in a list you will have to scroll.

one thing i recently learned to do in itunes is create a playlist folder - have they always been around ?

on my 32 gig 4th generation touch - it is very difficult to scroll

so once i realized i can place my playlists in folders, i rearranged them to all fit in folders, such that no scrolling needs to be done on the ipod

it is just a matter of clicking

Yes playlist folders have been around a long time. I have been using them for years.
