During the set up process with the new Apple TV, I installed the NFL app and then tried to "reauthorize" my Game Pass purchase. I get a "your Game Pass purchase has been verified" message and then go back to the screen that says, "you need to reauthorize your Game Pass purchase"....infinite loop.

I have contacted customer support at Apple and been given instructions to delete the app and re-install it. Then go through the process of re-authorizing my Game Pass purchase. Haven't done it yet. Not at home. Just not that confident that will be an effective solution and wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this "glitch" yet.

Any thoughts?

Update. Attempted the "delete app and re-install" solution suggested by Apple customer service. No change.

I don't own an Apple TV nor do I watch sports, so I can only guess based on other iOS app experiences.

When an App misbehaves like this, it is usually the design of the App at fault.

Deleting the App is the best option.
You can see if the Apple TV 2 cache clear (press and hold the down arrow and menu button until the light on the Apple TV blinks rapidly) works to clear the download cache.
Then go to the iTunes App Store and install the app from the Cloud again.

If you still have the same problem, try rebooting the Apple TV (power all the way down, unplug, plug in then power up). See if that fixes it.

If that does not resolve it, I would reset the Apple TV (requiring you to re-set it up for your network, logins, etc.) Choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, you can try Restoring the Apple TV. Choose Settings > General > Reset, and then select Restore. This will erase EVERYTHING on the Apple TV, and restore it back to factory state. Re-set it up, and see if that resolves it.
