• With the number of recent threads from brand new users that we have observed in our Classifieds forum selling goods under questionable circumstances, we have instituted a new policy restricting new members of iLounge from posting new threads in the Classifieds forum until they have reached "Regular Member" status.

New users become Regular Members once they have made 10 posts and been a member of the iLounge Forums for at least 7 days. Prior to this time, members may still read the Classifieds forum, and even respond to existing threads for items being sold by other members, but they may not create new threads advertising their own items for sale.

This will hopefully help to protect our user community by discouraging fraudulent users from signing up and posting classified ads without having at least a very basic level of established membership in our forums.

Obviously all users should still exercise due diligence when making use of our classifieds forums, but we hope that this restriction will help to decrease the number of blatantly fraudulent ads that we have been seeing in recent weeks.

Please be sure to review our Classified Forum Policy for more information.

For all the Mac users.

I think most Macintosh fans would have noticed that. Just that it hasn't been posted on iPL yet.

Looking forth to it though! April 29th, here I come! :D

Here is something to think about Kris. The OS will be made available on the 29th Cupertino time. So depending on when they make it available here, it may actually be later there. If they make it available here at Midnight or 0001 PST on the 29th, that is some time on the 30th for you, isn't it? As I recall from 10.1 and 10.2, it was made available at the exact same time worldwide...

This site has no affiliation with Apple, it is merely a collective of iPod fans and troubleshooters.

I meant that it dealt with Apple products (the iPod, Apple accessories, etc.), so I figured someone else would have posted it already.

Yeah, me too...I remember last year, when the new iBooks and iMacs come out last year, the threads were pretty popular...

Does it really matter? I'm just happy that we get it at the same time. My mom gets some kinda educational discount (which aren't applicable to OSes for some reason here) due to some deal and the like, so I'm definitely looking forward to it. Especially the widgets.

If anyone wanted to know, if you qualify for the student discount, it drops the price from $129 to $69

The extremely sad thing is that edu. discounts do not apply to operating systems here. But hell, I won't be paying US$129 for an OS. That would be like more expensive that MS (which has edu. discounts here). Pretty unorthodox...
