You guys have good taste.

I've gotten into Aqualung lately, and the Eels.

When I first started listening to jazz, I stumbled onto the Jazz 'Round Midnight series from Verve: lots of dark, sultry, moody tunes from a whole range of artists. My favorite still, I think, is Stan Getz.

There's also an mp3 blog that is a great source of new (and free) chill-out tunes: http://mysteryandmisery.com/

Just discovered my ultimate chill out song... "Hello Tomorrow" by Squeak E. Clean and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Or, more recognisably, the track from that new Adidas "intelligent shoe" ad.

do yourself a favor - for a good chillout checkout:

Moodfood by Moodswings. S

The son Spritual High is awesome (Chrissy Hyde of the Prentenders vocal and Martin Luther King speech!). The whole album sort of comes and goes like the tide - it's perfect to chill or make-out to;)

Check out the "Winter Chill" compilations by Hed Kandi. Lots of great chillout music, and decent value.

Era, Lesiem, Delerium, Enigma, pretty much anything with a beat/chant thing going on. If you like Enya, you'd probably like at least Era 1 and 2, if you like Era, then you'd probably like Lesiem's first album, if you like that, their 2nd, then their 3rd, then move on the Delerium and Enigma. Worth listening to imho at least.

You can sample some of Lesiem's stuff at http://www.lesiem.de/

There's a full extended MP3 of Fundamentum on there at the bottom thats pretty good.

For me, it's something to blaze too and just mellows you out. Kinda puts you in a dream state.

Anyone ever listen to the group Gregorian? They do modern songs chant-style, a little strange, but different, and somewhat relaxing.
