You can probably go to any electronics store that sells ipods or ipod accesories and pick this up, go to an apple store or order it from apple.com.

The old cable won't charge with USB. That is why I am trying to get the new G4 cables.

Do you own a 4G iPod? If not, you won't be able to charge your iPod (unless it's an iPod Mini or 4G iPod) via a USB cable.

Apple sells a "special" USB cable for older iPod's with a docking-port (i.e., 3G iPods) that has two ends...one USB and one FireWire. USB gets plugged into your computer's USB port while the FireWire end gets plugged into the AC Adaptor to charge your iPod.
