The new 7.0 itunes still doesn't change to TV shows on the ipod. I tried this application, but nothing happens when I go to "open". Somehow I got one file to work, but now it refuses to open another file. wtf is wrong with my computer here, anyone?

Works for me but you gotta fill in all the categories for it to work me thinks. Irritating thing I noticed about that is it doesn't stay filled in the first time you input it.

I have filled in all the categories, but the black screen just flashes and disappears and never edits the file. The same thing happens when I run AtomicParsley.

Nevermind. iTunes 7 does this for you, so it doesn't really matter anymore. :D

select multiple files for batch "video kind" changes

I have been a long time user of iTunes but just purchased my first iPod. I have been dealing with this issue of changing my mp4 video kind tags to "tv show" as i see that many have over the past year. Since i started with my iPod with iTunes 7, i know how to change video kind on a file but a problem is that I cannot select multiple files and change them all in one step as one can with the other fields in "get info". The tabs available to a user when one selects one file vs. multiple files are different.

I have tried several of the windows (I have a PC) based atomic parsely apps (win-AP, TV-Tagger and iPodTVShow) and none of these can perform this feat either.

Do any of you know of a method that will let me do this? I don't know why it isn't available in iTunes from the getgo.

Thanks.

I know!! Thats so annoying! I got it a few days a go and I just realised! What i did was copy the name of the show to the clipboard and then paste that every time u edit a episode from that show. Then fill in the other catagories individually. Hope that helps!

I have been doing that too. This one little feature (perhaps it is much more difficult to code) would help iTunes or any of those other apps tremendously.
Thanks!

Would the author consider expanding the front end to include all of the available metadata?

Lostify really has everything down, but it's only for mac.

I really need to edit the "release date" fields especially, since the iPod won't stop displaying "Unknown Release Date"

Check out all of Lostify's editable data here:

ive been trying to get this program to work but i get the same error other users have gotten with the comdlg32.ocx not being registered. I read through the whole thread and many people link to other sources on how to fix it but the links are all dead and noone actually says it. I also tried to just download the Atomicparsley GUI but it that link is dead too. ARG!!!
