Easy way to change video file type to 'Tv Show' (i made a gui for atomic parsley)

GO TO ADMIN PANEL > ADD-ONS AND INSTALL VERTIFORO SIDEBAR TO SEE FORUMS AND SIDEBAR

When I clip apply the black run box pops up and dissapears a second later. Nothing else happens.

For some reason in iTunes my Lost episode (which are correctly tagged thanks to the program)

go 1,20-15,2-9. And me being the perfectionist doesn't want that.

I want 1-25. Any way to fix that???

Although under Library it goes 1-25, under videos though it goes 1,20-15,2-9 which in what ever order theyre checked goes on my iPod

weird, the ipod organizes the tv shows based on the season and episode numbers that you input into the fields.

Also, if you experience any problems with importing the temp files back into itunes try shortening the file-name. Don't know why or how but maybe Itunes has some problems with reading files with a too large file-name. I did some quick testing and found out that video files with a name larger then 59 signs (without the extension) are not imported into Itunes..Weird..maybe it's just my computer...anyways.. :)

its everyone... you cant even open long-file named mp4 files in quicktime

Can I just say, thank you so much for this. I know its simple, and its a bit time consuming, but the fact that iTunes would let me classify movies and music videos but not tv shows was just stupid. It doesn't nothing but make people mad. Obviously the capability is there, if they would just enable it. I just don't get it.

I have installed VB6 and downloaded Atomic Parsley and iPodTvShow, but when I choose a file to open, nothing happens.

I have tried putting AP and IPTVS in the root of the files to be converted but still nothing.

What am I missing here?

I had some problems with the program, but I figured out if you import it into itunes first, and then make sure the title tag in itunes doesn't contain numbers before the title, I don't know why but I had problems with these kind of files that had episode numbers like 303 already in the title. Also make sure the file name is short and the itunes tag is short and it should work.

Just some advice.

How do i get the season to show up? when i type in 3 into the field and then after it encodes - in itunes theres nothing under season and also when i transfer to my iPod it says 0
- what did i do worng?!

this prog does not seem to be putting the season number in any ideas? i does not have it in itunes then when on my Ipod it come up with season 0

slight problem

iTunes has been wanting me to convert my mp4 files. It says "your ipod can't play this file." I know now by trial and error that when you convert it the way iTunes wants you to, it kills what iPod Tv Show does. How do I get around this? Also, it's making me convert it to an m4v file before it lets me put it on the iPod.

why is it when I try to tag my TV show that is 130 MB after I use ipodTVshow the file then becomes 430 MB ???

oh yeah, 1 more question why is it when I put in the season on "ipodTVshow" that on my ipod it shows up as Season 0 ??

Edit: Never mind, I found another great program and I see that it is better that ipodTVshow it is called AtomicParsley GUI

When i try to open the IpodTvShow i get a error saying "Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file missing or invalid" and when i click on the atomic parsely a black window just pops up and then goes away. I have no expreince what so ever in dos or command line writing

As iTunes does not organize numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 and instead puts them 1 10 2 3 4 5..... would it be possible for someone to change ipodTvShow so that it is able to handle having a 0 in front of a 1.

That way the shows ll be organised right in iTunes. 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10.....

When I try to convert a movie file it makes a second file three times as big with the word "temp" and then a number. When I try adding this file, I get a blank movie. It's really weird because a few days ago I was converting files from the exact same show, and it worked wonderfully, and I don't understand what I need to be doing different. Someone should write a set of directions for this program. I've tried searching and there is very little help about the program.

This is all fine and dandy but did I screw something up converting my videos for use on my ipod? they're all M4V files so this ipodTVmacattack program doesn't even recognize them. I learned everything I know about this ipod I found laying on the street by reading at this forum so I used the 3GP converter you guys recommended in another thread and it output M4V files not MP4s or whatever. I have very little time sorry to seem short. Oh and this is my first post. happy Wednesday.:D


edit: oh and I don't have time to convert all this trash anyway. I just went back and changed them to movies so I can find them on my Ipod. The Ipod Video is my first ipod ever and I've been completely impressed with itunes and the whole deal until this. not being able change "kind" to tv show is absolutely ######ed. <---- a filter that won't let you type r e t a r d is even more we todd did.
